Georgian Coalition for International Criminal Court

“Georgian Coalition for International Criminal Court” was established in 2003 and its goal is to strengthen democracy and rule of law and to ensure liability for genocide, aggression, war and crimes against humanity and to provide legal assistance to victims of such offences at national and international level.

Members of “Georgian Coalition for International Criminal Court” are:

1. Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA)

2. Human Rights Center

3. Article 42 of the Constitution

4. Justice International

5. The Georgian Centre for Psychosocial and Medical Rehabilitation of Torture Victims (GCRT)

6. International Center on Conflict and Negotiation (ICCN)

Since 2008, the abovementioned member organizations of the coalition have been actively involved in ongoing investigation of the August 2008 war and they represent the interests of war-affected internally displaced persons at national level, as well as before European Court of Human Rights and International Criminal Court.

Since 2010, “Georgian Coalition for International Criminal Court” is a member of the “Coalition for the International Criminal Court.” As for “Coalition for the International Criminal Court”, it was established in 1995 and today unites 2 500 civic organizations worldwide from 150 countries. Mission of the mentioned coalition is to combat the genocide, war and crimes against the humanity, for global justice.
