The Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association considers it necessary to provide the public with additional information on the expected outcomes of the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia of 9 December 2016, which related to the on-going reorganisation process in public institutions and possible dismissals of public officers for the purpose of reducing budget funds. GYLA has already circulated its public statement and frequently asked questions regarding this issue.

As the society might be aware, on January 18 2017, the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Society officially applied to the Ministry of Energy of Georgia and requested the following information:

- The copy of the Agreement (contract) signed with Gazprom in exchange for transit of Russian Gas that expired on December 31, 2016;
