Tbilisi - Nino Gvenetadze, Chief Justice of Georgia, and David Stonehill, USAID’s Democracy and Governance Office Director, opened the presentation of High Council of Justice monitoring findings On April 25, 2015. Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association and Transparency International - Georgia presented High Council of Justice Monitoring Report #4. The report analyses the legislation and normative base and the activities of the Council on the selection/appointment of judges, transfer of judges, transparency of the work of the Council, disciplinary proceedings against judges, etc.

As we know cadastral boundary adjustments of Tbilisi Botanical garden were made based on the “Finservice XXI” LTD request of April 12, 2016, based on which the territories were exchanged between the company and Botanical Garden.     

GYLA has appealed to the Constitutional Court on behalf of the Supreme Religious Administration of All Muslims of Georgia. The appellant appeals against the Ordinance of the Government of Georgia of 27 October 2014 on partial compensation for damages caused to the Muslim, Jewish, Armenian and Roman-Catholic communities during the Soviet Union.

1. With support of GYLA a citizen was freed from fines with amount of 500 GEL set by the Tax Code of Georgia that was prescribed for violation of rules of registering as a taxpayer.
